CROYA Yacht Show 2025: Croatia Shines as a Charter Destination

From 29 September to 1 October 2025, Split played host to the CROYA Yacht Charter Show, Croatia’s premier showcase for luxury crewed yachts. With over 45 yachts on display, the event brought together a diverse selection of sailing yachts, power yachts, catamarans, motorsailors, and traditional gullets.

We were delighted to tour most of the yachts presented in the show. Trying out the layouts, inspecting the finishes, seeing how the crews functioned, and getting immersed in the ambiance was invaluable. It’s these live impressions that help us serve our clients better — matching expectations to what’s onboard, not just what photos promise.

Charter yachts available in Croatia

Catamarans in Croatia continue to be among the most appealing charter options in Croatia. They blend space with stability, elegance with comfort. Some of our favourites included:

  • Princess Karla – the brand new Lagoon 60 sailing catamaran, combining graceful sailing performance and luxury amenities.
  • Amber One – a Sunreef 80 power catamaran, sleek and powerful, ideal for those who like speed and style without sacrificing onboard comfort.
  • Ahalya – a Sunreef 60 sailing catamaran, offering a-luxurious sailing experience.

One of the unique charms of Croatia’s fleet is the availability of motorsailors and gullets — vessels that combine the luxurious feel of power yachts with the more traditional ambiance of sailing vessels.

  • Lady Gita – A true gem, offering weekly rates between €90,000 and €115,000 + expenses. Our lunch aboard was pristine, the food outstanding, the crew warm and professional. Theme nights, a jacuzzi, summer film evenings under the stars — all of this turns a charter into an unforgettable experience.
  • Corsario – A more traditional gullet, family-run, deeply tied to Croatian character. The chef knew our tastes, the captain knew the coast, and every moment felt voyaged rather than chartered — a genuinely authentic Croatian maritime experience.

The motor yacht segment at CROYA 2025 was impressive, with vessels ranging from elegant performance yachts up to superyacht scale (70–200+ ft), across many budget bands. Two especially noteworthy ones:

  • Aluminia Too – A meticulously maintained 30-m motor yacht (Azimut Grande 27M) offering five cabins for up to 10 guests. Modern, stylish, fast (cruising speed ~22 knots, top ~28 knots), wonderful on amenities and water toys. Charter rates run about €95,000 in high season, somewhat lower in off-peak.
  • Renata – A brand new 133-ft / ~41-m superyacht, built/refitted 2025, superbly appointed, six-cabin layout, carrying a full crew, and setting the high-end benchmark. Weekly rates start around €179,000-€199,000 + expenses.

Cruising Itineraries: From Split to Dubrovnik

Most charter yachts in Croatia operate out of marinas around Split, but doing a Split → Dubrovnik or Dubrovnik → Split itinerary over 7 nights is especially rewarding. Possible stops include:

  • Hvar – for its nightlife, history, and harborside dining
  • Vis – for remote bays, natural beauty, and laid-back charm
  • Korčula – rich in culture, pretty old town, vineyards
  • Mljet – lush national park, saltwater lakes, quiet anchorages
  • Elafiti Islands – for calm bays, olive groves, peace and simplicity
  • Dubrovnik – the grand finish, with its walls, views and unmistakeable magic

This type of itinerary gives a mix of lively ports, secluded anchorages, natural scenery, and cultural richness — a well-balanced charter.

Why CROYA Matters

Events like CROYA are more than just boat shows. They give us a chance to step aboard, feel the proportions, try out amenities, meet the crews, see which yachts deliver not just in specs but in lived experience. It’s essential for matching clients properly — you can’t fully know a yacht from a brochure alone. CROYA 2025 reaffirmed that Croatia’s charter fleet is not only large in numbers, but impressive in quality.
