“We had the pleasure of chartering Sailing Yacht IKIGAI for our clients for a two-week trip September 2023. IKIGAI exceeded all expectations of the guests. Feedback indicated she was immaculate and beautifully appointed, offering both comfort and style throughout our journey.
However, what made their experience truly exceptional was the crew. From the very beginning, they were attentive, friendly, and accommodating to all their requests and the many guest changes. Their warm professionalism created an inviting and relaxed atmosphere onboard.
The principal guest remarked that it was "the trip of a lifetime," and the other guests expressed their desire to charter IKIGAI again in the future.
Great boat and great experience for everyone, including us, the booking brokers.”
However, what made their experience truly exceptional was the crew. From the very beginning, they were attentive, friendly, and accommodating to all their requests and the many guest changes. Their warm professionalism created an inviting and relaxed atmosphere onboard.

April 2023 Charter in the BVIs - Client Feedback :
We had a great time, the Ikigai is a beautiful sailing boat and Joren & Lotte took great care of us. We preferred the most secluded bays which we stayed at which were absolutely fantastic and felt very special.
Some of the initial out dining options were not that great but Joren / Lotte found some better ones towards the end. Dining on board was excellent.
We had a great time diving as well.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Andreas grew up in a sailing family and has been involved in sailing and boat maintenance since childhood. With over 20 years of licensed experience in the yachting industry, he has served as captain and skipper across Europe and internationally. His background includes hands-on involvement in yacht refits, equipping him with a solid understanding of engineering and maintenance. Andreas enjoys all sorts of water sports, as well as fishing and the preparation of fine sea food. More recently, he has formed a professional Captain/Hostess team with his wife Katrin, delivering seamless and memorable charter experiences.
Job Description
As Captain, the overall running of the vessel is Andreas’ responsibility; this includes the navigation, safety, and experience of all onboard. He ensures that IKIGAI runs smoothly and efficiently whilst adhering to all the appropriate regulations.
