  • COOKING 101 WITH JAMES MAKINSON
  • MASTERCLASS CERTIFICATE IN NO-BAKE PASTRIES
  • AMERICAN SAILING ASSOCIATION - FIRST SAIL CERTIFICATE
  • BOAT SKIPPER - CATEGORY A

Growing up by the sea on the island of Brač, surrounded by a family of mariners and passionate sailors, she developed a deep love for the sea, sunshine, and the people drawn to it. Her heritage is deeply rooted in the Croatian coastline, where food and hospitality go hand in hand with a seafaring lifestyle. Cooking and food became her second great passion in life. She realized early on how much a well-prepared meal influences an experience—it shapes the mood, fuels energy, and creates a sense of comfort and connection.

From a young age, she was captivated by the tastes and aromas of her grandmother's and mother’s kitchens, where traditional recipes made with homegrown ingredients left a lasting impression. This love for authentic, heartfelt cooking eventually led her to combine her two greatest passions — the sea and gastronomy — transforming her talent into a career as a chef on luxury sailing charters.

Through her work, she has gained valuable international experience, including seasons spent in the Caribbean, which inspired her to blend Mediterranean traditions with tropical freshness and creativity.

One of her signature dishes, Squid and Chickpea Stew, perfectly embodies this philosophy. Slow-cooked to perfection, it combines tender squid with rich Mediterranean flavours, aromatic herbs, and a hint of spice, creating a dish that is both comforting and deeply satisfying. This simple yet flavourful stew, inspired by coastal traditions, highlights her love for fresh, locally sourced ingredients and brings a true taste of the Adriatic to the table.

Talented and passionate, she’s the Chef everyone loves on board. With a gift for creating fresh, delicious meals tailored to guests, she turns every dish into an experience.
