Frequently Asked
Questions
Why to use charter yacht broker?
We know yachts, crews and destinations. We’ve got access to the most up to date calendars, schedules and can work with the yacht owners on any special requests. We will match you with the boat and the crew that is perfect for your needs and desires, and will navigate you through the entire booking process hassle – free.
How much does it cost to use charter yacht broker?
There is NO COST for a client associated with using charter yacht broker services. Brokers are paid by the yacht owners and yachts always offer the same price whether you book through the broker or, if the yacht accepts such bookings, directly. Using a yacht broker ensures that you get the professional service and unbiased advice.
How long before the trip should I book the yacht?
Some yachts tend to book out well in advance (up to 1 year), especially for the more popular dates, such as Christmas, NYE or Spring Break. If you have availability for the spontaneous trip, sometimes yachts offer last – minute specials. We suggest reserving at least a few months ahead of your planned vacation for a smooth, dream like getaway.
What happens after I choose the yacht?
All In Charters puts a complimentary hold for your chosen dates, to ensures that nobody else reserves the yacht while we are finalizing the booking. Following this, we will prepare a contract outlining the booking details and require your deposit. Once the yacht owner countersigns the contract, you can finalize your travel arrangements.
What are the payment terms?
To book a charter, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining 50% is due 60 days before the charter begins (for charters 6 months away some yachts accept 25% deposit, followed by another 25% at the 6-month mark). Your funds are securely held in escrow until just before your charter begins, when the yacht is paid.
What are the cancellation terms?
If you need to cancel your charter, please note that all payments are non – refundable. However, if the yacht successfully books another charter for the same dates, there’s a possibility of a partial refund. In certain situations, you may have the option to choose a future date, and your deposit can be retained for that booking.
What‘s included in the charter price?
The charter fee for the yachts in the Mediterranean and for some large motor yachts covers only the boat rental with the crew and comes with additional expenses (APA) for the food, fuel etc. (usually around 30% of the charter fee). The all inclusive charter in the Caribbean includes: yacht rental, service of professional crew of at least 2 (captain and private chef), all food and beverage based on your preferences, fuel, insurance for vessels and crew, and water toys.
What’s NOT included in the charter price?
The all inclusive yacht charter fee does not include: crew gratuity, transportation to the yacht (airfare, taxis, etc.), premium liquors and extensive alcohol consumption (ship’s bar varies depending on the yacht), onshore expenses (drinks, dining, tours, entrance fees etc.), optional dockage (unless otherwise specified in the contract), additional watersports (not offered by the yacht), such as diving, sport fishing, kite – surfing, etc.
What is the standard crew gratuity?
The standard gratuity on charters in the Caribbean and Bahamas is 15 – 20% of the total charter fee (solely based on charterer’s discretion), and min 10% in the Med. The crew serves as the cornerstone of a successful charter experience and is dedicated to ensuring you have a wonderful vacation. They begin preparations based on your preferences way before the charter starts and are available 24/7 during the charter. Most crews accept cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, or wire transfer.
What is the minimum number of nights?
The minimum number of nights per charter depends on the location. In the Caribbean, in general most yachts have a minimum of 4 nights. In the Mediterranean during high season, most yachts have a min. charter duration of one week, typically from Friday to Friday, Saturday to Saturday, or Sunday to Sunday. However, depending of yachts’ availability the minimum charter length is open to negotiation, so let us know about your requirements.
Is there a limit on the number of guests?
Yes, the number of guests allowed on charter yachts varies based on the size of the boat. For all boats available on our website, there is a specified capacity indicating the max. number of guests, with most offering accommodations for 4 – 10 guests. It is also important to consider the group dynamics, such as whether the group consists of couples or includes children. Understanding the dynamics helps us recommending the most suitable yachts, taking into account the type and number of beds required.
What are standard amenities aboard yachts?
On all-inclusive charters, you can expect a variety of amenities like snorkel gear, paddleboards, kayaks, and fishing gear. If you opt for more luxurious experience, premium yachts offer extras such as scuba gear, seabobs, and towables. Motor yachts and some larger cats may also include jacuzzis, jetskis, and slides for added excitement. Please let us know what specifically you are looking for, and we might be able to add a desired toy if the chosen yacht usually does not carry it.

A glimpse into Bahemian History
The history of the Bahamas is as intriguing as its natural beauty. These islands have witnessed a diverse array of influences, from the indigenous Lucayan people to the era of European exploration and colonization. In the 17th century, the Bahamas became a haven for pirates, with infamous figures like Blackbeard and Calico Jack calling these islands home. Later, they became a refuge for loyalists fleeing the American Revolution, leaving behind a legacy of unique architecture and culture. This historical tapestry is interwoven into the fabric of the Bahamas, adding depth to its allure.

Abacos and the Exumas – a Nautical Playground
The Abacos are a sailor’s dream, known for their calm, crystal-clear waters and charming island communities. The history of these islands is as captivating as their beaches, with tales of pirates and loyalists dotting the past. While sailing through the Abacos, you can explore charming towns like Marsh Harbour and Hope Town, which boast vibrant culture and friendly locals.
Just south of the Abacos, the Exumas offer a tranquil escape into nature’s lap. This archipelago is renowned for its pristine beauty, lush landscapes, and secluded coves. One of the most thrilling experiences in the Exumas is swimming with the gentle nurse sharks at Compass Cay. These docile creatures will leave you in awe as you share the crystal-clear waters with them. The most famous attraction, however, is the opportunity to hang out with the delightful wild pigs on Big Major Cay. These adorable creatures have become Instagram sensations and are a must-see while in the Abacos. To further connect with nature, visit the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, a protected area teeming with marine life, coral reefs, and diverse bird species. The Exumas epitomize seclusion and serenity.
