From the warm welcome we received from your crew on the dock in Dubrovnik to the fine dining food prepared by Gratian every day. The idyllic spots, the serene clear waters, the beautiful weather. The crew who kept us clean and refreshed, and attentively predicted our needs - coffees, waters, new glasses. All Elin had to say was “swimming” and a life jacket and paddle boards would appear. We appreciate all of your adept and assured sailing maneuvers, and for going with the flow as we turned down nearly everything the Croatian Islands have to offer in favour of relaxing on your boat. CAPTAIN: NIKO GUGIC
NATIONALITY: CROATIAN
AGE: 35
A young and up and coming Captain, Niko spent his initial career years working for international cruise liners before returning home and working for his father on Angelica. He is a competent marine engineer with a great passion for sailing, diving and anything related to the sea. Niko has been at Angelica's helm since successfully taking over from his father. He helps painstakingly restore and maintain Angelica each winter to her former elegance and ensures her standards never drop. Niko speaks English and is considered one of the best Captains in the Adriatic. Niko's family are one of the oldest seafaring families hailing from Korcula Island in the Adriatic.
HOSTESS MAJA
NATIONALITY: CROATIAN
AGE: 27
A former PE teacher, Maja worked at the local high school before joining the Angelica. She has a great personality and is always smiling and happy. She is a great hostess and will ensure you will have a fantastic time onboard Angelica. Don't be surprised if you hear her singing to herself throughout your cruise; she likes it when guests tell her she has a great voice. She hails from Slavonia in the north of Croatia and likes to educate people on the delights of this less-known part of the country.
CHEF GRATIAN
NATIONALITY: CROATIAN
AGE: 30
Gratian is a talented chef who benefits from great international exposure working in several luxury hotels. Gratian previously worked across many restaurants in Italy, Austria and Croatia. He brings a wealth of knowledge and will delight the guests with his Dalmatian cuisine with a twist. He uses only fresh, local, organic produce and will source fresh fish along the way throughout the charter. He likes to remind everyone he has never had a bad guest review.
DECK HAND LUKA
NATIONALITY: CROATIAN
AGE: 24
Young Luka is full of energy on account of his love of sports and the great outdoors. He has a can-do attitude and is always the first to react when any problem needs some good old-fashioned muscle power. He plays football in a junior league and hopes one day to ascend the ranks to play for the mighty Dinamo Zagreb. He is already a well-experienced deckhand having worked on several yachts and he likes to roll his sleeves up whenever needed.
